There are other drivers fighting for this device, though.
#B43/UCODE16_MIMO.FW DOWNLOAD DRIVER#
I have been getting good results with the b43 driver and the b43-firmware package which must be downloaded from the repository. Nothing seems to work.Īlso tried some "air*" drivers figuring with an 'Airport" card maybe, but no luck there either. Wired the Macbook to the network and tried everything related to "cutter", then 'broadcom", then bc43. Search Synaptic for Broadcom and you should find two versions of fwcutter there. I have downloaded the bcm43xx-fwcutter.1.gz but I have no idea how to load it :-[ onto PCLinuxOS-Mate (or LXDE I may go that route). Seems odd because the PCLOS-KDE from 2012 works fine. 15:18:40 (40.7 KB/s) - ‘.bz2’ saved īroadcom-wl-5.100.138/config/wlconfig_lx_sharedīroadcom-wl-5.100.138/config/wlconfig_nomimoĪ0g0bsinitvals5.fw b0g0initvals9.fw lcn1initvals25.fw lp0initvals14.fw n0bsinitvals25.fw pcm5.fw ucode14.fw ucode24_lcn.fwĪ0g0bsinitvals9.fw ht0bsinitvals26.fw lcn1initvals26.fw lp0initvals15.fw n0initvals11.fw sslpn0bsinitvals16.Well I have had some success (succeeded in creating a dual boot w/PCLOS-LXDE and then w/PCLOS-Mate) but the main drawback seems no way to get support for the WiFi (AppleAirPortBrcm4311).
